How to Sell Diamonds
When you decide to sell diamonds with Twery’s, we will examine your valuables by assessing their worth through a professional process. Specific to diamonds, we will determine their worth by checking the carat size, number of diamonds, clarity and most importantly the cut.
The examination will consist of determining the 4 Cs: Carat Size, Color, Clarity, and Cut.
- First and foremost, the size of the diamond will be the primary indicator of value. A diamond exceeding one full carat is exceedingly rare and will raise its worth substantially.
- Second, and very importantly, is the color of the diamond. The color really refers to the absence of color, so the less color, the more valuable your diamond may be.
- Third we will assess the clarity of your diamond. This measures the amount of internal inclusions and external blemishes.
- Last, we will measure the cut of your diamond. This refers to the proportions of the diamond, the arrangement of its facets, and the quality of craftsmanship.
What Types of Diamonds do We Buy?
When you are ready to sell your diamonds, trust Twery’s of South Florida for an amazing experience. We will give you top dollar for loose diamonds or items with diamonds in them:
- Loose Diamonds– loose diamonds of all shapes, sizes and colors. This includes round, princess, emerald, Asscher, cushion, marquise, and radiant diamonds.

How Much is My Diamond Worth?
When you bring your diamond in for an appraisal from Twery’s, we will look at a combination of factors to determine the fair market value of your diamond. For starters, the rarity of your diamond will be considered, as will the diamond grading system developed by GIA in the 1950’s. This system grades diamonds based on clarity, ranging from flawless (FL) to diamonds with obvious blemishes or inclusions, as well as other factors.
Like all expert diamond buyers, we use the four C’s:
- 1. Color
- 2. Clarity
- 3. Cut
- 4. Carat Weight
